Data Privacy Day is a global event aimed at educating and empowering us to better protect our privacy and encouraging us to reflect on the challenges faced by all of us in this age of Big Data and the Internet of Things.
Carnegie Mellon is a leader in data privacy research and education. CMU has launched the world’s first privacy engineering degree program and pioneered the field of usable privacy. Our faculty lead some of the largest privacy research projects in the country and also serve as frequent contributors to public policy activities in this fast-moving space.
This year’s celebration at CMU features a privacy clinic, where attendees will have a chance to learn about available tools and practical tips to better protect your data privacy. Additionally, attendees will have an opportunity to explore various ongoing privacy research projects at a privacy research poster fair.
The full schedule for Privacy Day can be found on the event’s website. This event is free and open to the general public.
