Click “Join the Gathering.”

Upon entry, you will be dropped off in the main lobby, near the help table and entrance to the poster rooms. A window will open with the message “Welcome to Gather.” It has a link to the tutorial, which you can skip or try out.

Use the arrows on your keyboard to walk around the space.

You will be automatically connected by video and audio when you are near someone else.

On the left side of the screen, a list of participants will appear; if you would like to find someone specific, you can search the participants list to find them. After selecting a participant to follow, a direction line will show up for you to walk along. Once you reach your destination, you will need to click "stop following" to deactivate this.

Local chat is another way to interact in Gather.Town. You can chat directly with someone, chat with people who are nearby you, or chat to everyone.

There will be two poster rooms for this event: Poster Room 1 (top) will include ECE (yellow), ChemE (blue), and CEE (gray). Poster Room 2 (bottom) will include MechE (red), BME (orange), and MSE (green).

When you reach a poster, click “X” on your keyboard to interact with it. When you enter into the gray shaded area in front of a poster, you will go to that poster's private area. In private poster areas, you can interact LIVE with the student presenters and anyone else viewing the poster at that time.

If you have any questions, navigate to the lobby, the location where you started. There is a help table with a red table cloth that has a live person to speak with. There are also two information tables with yellow table cloths that will have room layouts for the two poster rooms and instructions for GatherTown.
