Bill Nace
Teaching Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Bill Nace is a teaching professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, where he teaches courses in Digital Logic, FPGAs, Computer Networks, and Distributed Systems. He received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon in 2002, and his M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 1989. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a B.S.EE. and an officer's commission in 1987.
He served in the US Air Force for over 25 years with assignments writing user interfaces for command and control centers, teaching at the US Air Force Academy, running a test group in a semiconductor fab, and as chief scientist of a Tokyo-based office responsible for generating collaborative relationships between scientists in Asia and the Air Force.
He has been inducted into Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu and is a member of ACM.
