He served in the US Air Force for over 25 years with assignments writing user interfaces for command and control centers, teaching at the US Air Force Academy, running a test group in a semiconductor fab, and as chief scientist of a Tokyo-based office responsible for generating collaborative relationships between scientists in Asia and the Air Force.
He has been inducted into Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu and is a member of ACM.
