sites around pittsburgh

We love Pittsburgh and think you will too. If you have a chance to look around, these sites will give you some ideas of what to do while you're here.

scheduling your visit

Before visiting, we ask that you contact the college so we can be sure the people you need to see are available. The dean's office and each of our nine departments schedule their own appointments. Use the list of department heads and their assistants to schedule your appointment.

did you know...?

that the Nickelodeon theater, which opened in Pittsburgh in 1905, was first motion picture theatre in the country? Pittsburgh is a town of firsts - the first banana split, the first Big Mac, the first bingo game, the first pull-top soda can - it all started here - not to mention that Carnegie Mellon opened the first Robotics Institute in the country, way back in 1979!. Click here to see the rest of the "firsts" - here's a clue... :)
