Intellectual capital For your R&D

Ways to Connect

In 2004, American business increased its R&D spending by $7 billion according to the National Science Foundation, for a total of $208 billion. What you may not know is that a large portion of those R&D dollars are spent with colleges and universities.

From a business perspective, partnering with the College of Engineering is a way to fast-track the development process. Over the years, discoveries by CIT research scientists have lead the way for technological innovations. We have facilities, laboratories and staff who are dedicated to the research process and experienced in result-oriented methodologies. Should there be a need for additional tools or equipment, we will work with you to develop projects that meet your R&D needs.

Because our culture values interdisciplinary efforts, we often work across departments and even colleges, adding design, business, statistical or social science experts as needed. With five colleges in the university, we offer a wide range of expertise to assist with your projects. This collaborative mindset also contributes to a positive relationships among our organizations. We welcome the involvement of your staff, should that be your choice, or we will work within the college and communicate regularly on progress and results.

Innovation is the lifeblood of any organization and the College of Engineering is no exception. Our vision for our students is to offer an education that enables them to create and manage innovation. Just as your company's endurance depends on its ability to produce a continuous flow of new ideas, better process and inventive products, CIT's consistent ranking as one of the top 10 universities in the U.S is dependent on innovative research and education.

Working together, we help each other sustain and grow our organizations, while discovering advancements in technology, method, policy, and process that change society for the better.

CIT’s cutting edge research, technological excellence, and innovation management make us the ideal partner to sustain your competitive advantage.
