In collaboration with Hyogo Institute of Information Education Foundation, the INI offers a Master of Science in Information Technology - Information Security Track (MSIT-IS) at Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan. The degree is a joint initiative between the INI and the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management. The MSIT-IS degree prepares students to become leaders in information security by blending education in information security technology, business management, and policy.

| Aveiro Master of Science in Information Networking (MSIN) Program |

Offered by INI in partnership with the University of Aveiro and Instituto de Telecomunicações, IT in Portugal, the MSIN program will be delivered using a hybrid distributed education format with four courses (at least three core) taught from Carnegie Mellon via video-teleconferencing technologies (VTC) and the remaining courses taught locally at the University of Aveiro by its faculty. The program provides a solid foundation in information systems and networking and introduces students to management, strategic thinking, and policy, with the opportunity to study each of these areas in greater depth through electives.

In association with the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program’s Information and Communications Technology Institute (ICTI, this is an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in the area of Technological Change and Entrepreneurship. Graduates of the Ph.D. program receive a degree by Carnegie Mellon University, as well as one awarded by the Portuguese Partner University (either Technical University of Lisbon or Catholic University of Portugal).
