Media Advisory: Carnegie Mellon's Biomedical Engineering Students Showcase Products to Improve Consumer Health and Mobility

Event: Carnegie Mellon University biomedical engineering students will demonstrate medical products and tools designed to help consumer mobility and improve operating room efficiency. Eight teams from the university's biomedical engineering senior design class will unveil prototype tools and products ranging from a sensor-based tool to help consumers with severe muscular disease to a specially designed glove that translates sign language to voice, and a personalized pill access control and monitoring system for more efficient medication use. James F. Antaki, course instructor and professor of biomedical engineering and computer science at Carnegie Mellon, will assess product designs.
