Event: Carnegie Mellon University's Priya Narasimhan will participate in a panel at the fourth annual Netroots Nation Conference about how technology can be used to enhance democracy in Pittsburgh and beyond.

 

Narasimhan, director of Carnegie Mellon's Mobility Research Center and an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, is an expert in mobile, embedded and distributed technologies. She is also president and founder of YinzCam, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based startup focused on live interactive mobile streaming and other mobile services and applications.

 

The Netroots Nation Conference features 70 panels and 20 training sessions to help the public better understand how to use technology to influence public debate.
