The country’s largest private buyer of information technology, the world’s largest buyer of steel and the holder of pensions for hundreds of thousands of Americans, GM accounts for a full 1 percent of our country’s gross domestic product.

Rajkumar, head of the GM Lab at Carnegie Mellon and a professor of electrical and computer engineering, will showcase some of his team’s latest work designed to modernize the auto industry and make driving safer and more economical for the consumer.

When: 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 5.

Where: Room 2101, Collaborative Innovation Center, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15213.
