Media Advisory: Carnegie Mellon Biomedical Engineering Students Showcase Products To Benefit Consumer Health

Event: Carnegie Mellon University’s biomedical engineering students will feature demonstrations of medical products and tools designed to benefit consumer health and improve operating room efficiency. Nine competitive teams from the university’s biomedical engineering senior design class will unveil prototype tools and products ranging from implantable probes for measuring the health of  kidneys to the creation of a robotic tool for assisting surgeons conducting deep brain surgery.

James F. Antaki, course instructor and a professor of  biomedical engineering and computer science at Carnegie Mellon, will assess the product designs.
  
When: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thursday, May 8.

Singleton Room, Roberts Engineering Hall, off of Frew Street, Carnegie Mellon University.
