EVENT: Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering and the Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Education and Research will host an exhibit of golden eagles and peregrine falcons to heighten awareness of how climate change is impacting all living creatures.

Earl Schriver, a veteran falconer and former steelworker from Baden, Pa., will demonstrate how the birds feed and survive in today's ever-growing fragile ecosystem. Schriver has been a falconer and breeder of raptors for more than 25 years. His love of birds began in the late 1940s when he was a boy scout.

His display of live birds will include: Wambli, a 46-year-old bald eagle; Ani, a 15-year-old peregrine falcon; J.R., a one-year-old peregrine falcon and Lizzy, a one-year-old hybrid falcon with an Asiatic pedigree.

WHEN: Noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 22.

WHERE: Scaife Hall Garden, Carnegie Mellon University, off Frew Street.
