Carnegie Mellon | Portugal to Celebrate Diploma Ceremony
The Carnegie Mellon | Portugal program will be having its
first graduation ceremony on Monday, February 22, 2010 in Coimbra, Portugal.
During
the 2010 diploma ceremony, the combined achievements of the professional
masters graduates of December 2008 and December 2009 will be celebrated in a
joint ceremony.
Dual degrees will be bestowed upon the graduates of the
following collaborative programs:

Professional Master of Science in Information Networking (MSIN), Universidade de Aveiro and Carnegie Mellon University

Professional Master of Science in Information Technology - Information Security (MSIT-IS), Universidade de Lisboa and Carnegie Mellon University

Professional Master of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Universidade da Madeira and Carnegie Mellon University
-
Professional Master of Software Engineering (MSE), Universidade de Coimbra and Carnegie Mellon University
A total of 60 graduates (42 2009 graduates and 18 2008 grads) will receive diplomas.
The Information and Communication Technologies Institute is a program between Carnegie Mellon University, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), nine Portuguese universities and several high-tech corporate research groups in Portugal.
The partnership offers students unique dual-professional masters, doctoral, and post doctoral degree programs. Successful graduates receive degrees from Carnegie Mellon and the Portuguese partner institution.
ICTI established the Carnegie Mellon | Portugal program to collaborate on research and educational programs in key areas of mutual interest. The intellectual focus and theme of the Carnegie Mellon | Portugal program is information and communication technologies, placing emphasis on four key areas: information processing and networking; sensing technologies and networking; technology, management and policy; and basic sciences.
