Once you have carefully read and learned the FY Student Scheduling Information, you can begin to fill out your Proposed Schedule Worksheet.

The most accurate information about classes is located on the official HUB website: Schedule of Classes. But there are also two unofficial sites that students find helpful in visually plotting out their schedules.

The Pulse Scheduler
ScheduleMan

NOTE: You should use these tools to help you fill out the Proposed Schedule Worksheet. The worksheet is the ONLY form that will be accepted by the college; Pulse and ScheduleMan schedules will NOT be acceptable substitutes.

Your Proposed Schedule Worksheet is due by July 13th.
(Proposed schedules received after the above date will be denoted as LATE and may not be processed in time to register on August 1.)

You will use the worksheet when you officially register for courses in August using the Online Registration (OLR) system. (You will not be able to access your account on the OLR until August 1.)

Helpful Hints

  • The most important thing to look for when planning your schedule is time conflicts.

  • When planning your schedule, account for all times associated with a course.  For example, an Introduction to Engineering course can have:

    Lecture (1) TR 9:00-10:20 p.m.
    Recitation (A) 11:30-12:20 p.m.
    Lab (A) 6:30-9:20 p.m.

  • Many Science, Math, and Engineering courses have recitations (usually 50 minutes) and/or labs (usually three hours) connected to the lecture.

  • The maximum number of units a first-year student can register for in the fall is 46.

  • Pick several alternatives, as courses fill up quickly.

  • If the course has a lecture, recitation, and/or lab, you only need to add the section letter, not the number (e.g. 33-106 (A), not 33-106 (2)). The OLR system will automatically add the appropriate lecture, recitation, and/or lab.

  • Courses that don't have a recitation or lab (just the lecture), will have one letter associated with it, such as Interpretation and Argument, 76-101.

  • Mini-courses, like Computing Skills Workshop and 21-123 only span half of the semester. You can tell when a mini course is offered by the number associated with the letter (example: 99-101 B2). The number corresponds to the quarter in which the course is offered:

  • 1= Fall first half
    2= Fall second half
    3= Spring first half
    4= Spring second half

Once you have completed your proposed schedule you may send it for review to:
