Welcome to E&TIM

Carnegie Mellon University invites engineering and other technical professionals to earn a one-year, interdisciplinary MS degree in Engineering and Technology Innovation Management (E&TIM).

From nanotechnology to critical infrastructure, biomedical engineering to the environment, energy to information technology, today's opportunities and challenges have both technical and management dimensions.

The E&TIM program equips students for meaningful careers as leaders in innovation and the strategic management of technology.

 

What's New?

  • Now accepting applications for the E&TIM program beginning spring 2013.

  • ETIM alumna Corinne Pascale ('09) is volunteering with Microsoft's Technology Education and Literacy in Schools program (TEALS) to teach an Intro to Computer Science course at a high school in her area. Read more about the project, featured in The Huffington Post.

  • ETIM student Skylar Roebuck has been chosen as one of Carnegie Mellon's 2011 James R. Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellows. The fellowship is a mentored, paid summer internship with a venture-backed start-up. Congratulations, Skylar!

  • ETIM student Deepthi Uppala wins 2011 Google Anita Borg Scholarship. Congratulations, Deepthi!

  • ETIM student Yu "Frank" Fan and team wins second place in the Heinz College's Social Innovation Solutions Challenge for their project on pipe robots to detect water leakage in Northern China. Congratulations, Frank and Team!

  • On March 28, ETIM hosted the Product Development and Management Association seminar, "Built to Love," with Carnegie Mellon Professors Peter Boatwright and Jonathan Cagan. The professors discussed their research on what they've identified as the "science of product emotion."
