Mail your official transcript(s) of both undergraduate and graduate work. If you are still attending another university, an additional (final) transcript must be submitted upon completion of your work. To expedite the processing of your application, please include an unofficial copy of your scores in this package.

Have your GRE Score Report
mailed to the E&TIM Graduate Admissions Office - An official Graduate Record Examination (General Test) score report,
sent from the Educational Testing Service, is required of all students.

Have your TOEFL Score Report
mailed to the E&TIM Graduate Admissions Office - If you are an international student and your native language is
not English, and if you have not studied for at least two years at
a school in the United States, an official TOEFL Score Report, sent
from the Educational Testing Service, is required. If you are an international
student currently attending a school in the United States, either
a TOEFL Score Report or the result of an English proficiency test
is acceptable. To expedite the processing of your application, please
include an unoffical copy of your scores in this package.
- The TOEFL code for E&TIM is 69.
The “Statement of Purpose”
is a one or two page typed statement that answers the following questions:
What are your reasons for undertaking graduate study at Carnegie Mellon University?
How do your experience, your education and graduate training in E&TIM, and your future career plans relate to each other?

To send your resume and statement of purpose electronically, attach both documents and email to etim@andrew.cmu.edu. Please put your first and last name in the subject line of the email to make sure the documents are clearly associated with your application. Send Microsoft Word docs or PDFs only.
Applications must be complete for consideration. Applications received by August 15 will receive September notification; applications received by October 15 will receive November notification.

E&TIM Program Schedule
The E&TIM program runs from January to December of the same calendar year. This unusual academic calendar accommodates a mid-program summer internship.
