Should I be interested in E&TIM?

Yes, if….You are an engineer or scientist concerned with the creation of economic and social value through innovation.

How is my E&TIM course of study designed?

1.) The core courses are the starting point: Managerial and Engineering Economics; Strategy and Management of Technology, a Product/Process Innovation project, and seminars with innovation management practitioners and thought leaders.

2.) Technical interests drive a second component. Carnegie Mellon offers world-class graduate courses to take your technical education to the next level. Technical courses may be concentrated in a single engineering department, or selected across departments to create a unique technical focus.

3.) Innovation management electives emphasize different facets of innovation management. Select from courses in: Entrepreneurship, Industrial R&D; Science, Technology and Innovation Policy; Global Business; and Managing Innovation in Organizations.

4.) An internship project provides a real world experience in an organization that is leveraging engineering and technology to create value.
