People Transfer

Transferring people has applications ranging from moving patients in hospitals from bed-to-bed all the way to the battle field in getting a person onto a stretcher. Already, techniques, which look like a martial art, exist that allow small people to move large heavy people. I want to encode these ideas into a machine, with as few motors as possible. Students will work with engineers in my group on this project.
