Mobile Multisensor Platform for Smart Surveillance Applications

The project will address the topics such as: passenger counting, detection of unattended objects, and situational awareness aspects on a mass transit vehicle, such as a people mover train at airport. These vehicles already have closed circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring systems. The project will create testing scenarios and solution, perform testing, run experiments, and analyze results. This will also include tuning of the parameters and making algorithmic improvements and comparing them to the recent Video Content Analytics (VCA) methods. The analysis will describe the performance of various configurations of cameras and video recorders in the context of proposed solution.
