At the dawn of its second century—with alumnus Dr. Pradeep K. Khosla (CIT '84 and '86) at its helm—the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon is poised to excel among fellow top-tier programs. We are a globally-renowned college dedicated to providing superior technological education while instilling creative problem-solving and teamwork skills in our students.

In its annual “America’s Best Colleges” edition, U.S. News and World Report recently ranked Carnegie Mellon Engineering sixth in graduate education among top tier institutions. But, we must work harder than ever to secure our position as a prominent national engineering program.

Our students are of the first rank, as is our faculty. Students study directly with and participate in sophisticated research with renowned faculty scholars who are as committed to teaching as they are to research. High-quality classroom experiences distinguish the College of Engineering; however, we are challenged to recruit the best and brightest students into our programs.
