Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley's Disaster Management Initiative (DMI) is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Workshop, May 22-23, 2011 at NASA Research Park. Building on the DMI’s rapid growth since our launch in 2010, this year's workshop theme will be “EmComm: Mobile Communications for Public Safety: Policy, Technology and Practice."
In practice with the DMI spirit of moving from talk to action, we are delighted to coordinate our workshop with the 2011 California Mobile Command Center (MCC) Rally sponsored by the California Fire Chiefs Association (CFCA) and the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA). This event will feature a "Plugfest" and simulation training exercises co-hosted by DMI and the California MCC Rally, to test the interoperability of 30+ mobile communication and incident management vehicles.
